OGL Expands Gold Coast Construction Logistics Capability with New 7,000 SQM Merrimac Yard
One Global Logistics is expanding its Gold Coast construction logistics capability with a new 7,000 square metre multi-purpose logistics freight station at 178 Gooding Drive, Merrimac.
Planned for Q1 2027, the new Merrimac logistics yard will provide a centrally located solution for the storage, handling and transport of imported construction, building and civil materials, supporting projects across the Gold Coast and surrounding region.
The facility will include approximately 7,000 SQM of hardstand with a road base surface, with both short and long-term storage options available. Located around 15 minutes from key Gold Coast centres including Southport, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Palm Beach, the site provides convenient access to major construction and development corridors.
A Central Gold Coast Logistics Yard for Construction Materials
Managing imported construction materials requires considerably more than moving containers from the wharf to site.
Large-scale façade, glass, joinery, civil and building material packages can involve staged international shipments, container management, temporary storage, specialist handling and tightly coordinated deliveries aligned with construction schedules.
